Kon Tum authorities identified 12 students involved in the leaked 10th grade English exam, proposed canceling the results and allowing re-exams.
On June 18, the Departmentof Education and Training of Kon Tum province announced that it had proposed to the provincial People's Committee to allow these students to take the second round of exams using reserve exam papers in August. For other candidates, enrollment will proceed as usual.
This move stems from the exam leak incident on June 2. After candidates finished taking the English exam in the 10th grade exam in this province, a post appeared on social media with a photo of the content similar to the exam for this subject.
The Kon Tum Department of Education and Training determined that this was the final draft of the exam, differing only by one question from the official exam. This draft was given to a teacher at Nguyen Hue Secondary School, Kon Tum City. When he went to her house to study, a 9th grade male student took a photo of the draft from the printer and sent it to some friends.
The Department assessed that the scope of this impact is very small compared to the scale of the exam and there is no abnormality in the scores, so it proposed the above plan.
The 10th grade public entrance exam in Kon Tum province took place from June 2-4, with more than 6,600 candidates. Candidates took three subjects, including Literature, Math and English.
