Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang said that the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the City People's Committee and CT Group within the framework of the Danang Innovation and Startup Festival - SURF 2025 marks the close cooperation between the state and businesses, creating a solid foundation for strong startup development in the future.

Da Nang is gradually becoming a potential destination in the field of biotechnology in the region. The city has made significant progress in building infrastructure, attracting talent and promoting research and application of biotechnology.

Da Nang established the Biotechnology Center under the Department of Science and Technology, which is the only center in the country specializing in biotechnology research. In addition, the city also plays a core role in connecting the region's biotechnology value chains.

In the coming time, the city will continue to invest in facilities, especially laboratories and modern equipment to serve research on new biotechnologies.

To facilitate and keep the coordination with CT Group on schedule, the City Party Secretary requested the Department of Science and Technology to coordinate with departments, branches and sectors to soon advise and propose locations to implement technology projects.

At the same time, speed up the construction of a carbon credit trading floor, in parallel with the construction of an international financial center in Da Nang, aiming to form a commodity trading floor. The Department of Science and Technology noted the factors of ensuring safe transactions and related legal factors.

Departments, branches and sectors promote coordination in deploying infrastructure to serve investors; review database systems, security camera systems, traffic cameras, etc.

Information at the meeting said that CT Group was established in 2006, is one of the leading technology and innovation groups in Vietnam with 68 member companies, present in 12 countries.

According to the cooperation minutes between the City People's Committee and CT Group, the two sides will work together for sustainable and comprehensive development through breakthrough initiatives and advanced technology applications: multi-layer digitalization technology of the ground and near-space - 15-layer Digital Twin (Digital Twin 15), pilot operation of the carbon credit trading market in Da Nang; cooperation in biotechnology (ginseng, medicinal herbs and rare genetic resources); semiconductor industry, innovation, etc.
