Co Tu village chief attacked by bear discharged from hospital

DNO - On November 8, after a period of treatment at Da Nang Hospital, Mr. Poloong Nhuong (born in 1977, Co Tu ethnic group, Head of A Tu 1 village, Hung Son commune) - the victim attacked by a wild bear on the evening of October 21, was discharged from the hospital.

As reported by Da Nang Newspaper, Radio and Television , at around 6:30 p.m. on October 21, on his way home from work in the fields, Mr. Nhuong was suddenly attacked by a bear, causing serious injuries to his face, lower jaw, arms and legs, and a lot of blood loss.

Local people discovered and took Mr. Nhuong to the old Ch'Om Commune Health Station for first aid; then transferred him to the combined military-civilian health station (located in the old A Xan commune) for emergency treatment and wound treatment, before transferring him to a higher-level hospital for treatment.

At the hospital, doctors and nurses stitched up the wound, stopped the bleeding, gave him vaccinations and intensive treatment. After more than 2 weeks of treatment, Mr. Nhuong's health has recovered well, his wounds have healed and his spirit is stable.

Representatives of Hung Son commune government and local departments, branches and organizations visited and presented gifts to Mr. Poloong Nhuong. During his treatment at Da Nang Hospital, a group of young people in Da Nang called for and connected to support Mr. Nhuong with more than 11 million VND.
