According to information from the City Red Cross, from October 29 to November 6, the City Relief Committee received about 2.65 tons of goods worth nearly 7.5 billion VND.

These goods include necessities, clothes, school supplies... donated by agencies, departments, businesses and volunteer groups across the city.

The An Hai ward working group in coordination with Tra Linh commune authorities has just presented 50 gifts (each worth 1 million VND including blankets, warm clothes, rice and necessities) to the local people. In addition, the group also supported noodles, nutritional powder and 150 300W solar lamps for schools and villages in the commune.

Meanwhile, from November 5 to 7, the teachers, students and parents' association of Hung Vuong Primary School (Hai Chau Ward) launched a donation program, collecting 1,115 notebooks, 400 pencil and pen tips, 52 sets of textbooks from grades 1 to 5, along with warm clothes, school uniforms and many medical masks to donate to schools in mountainous areas.

Principal of Hung Vuong Primary School Do Thi Le said that this is a continuation of the tradition of "loving others as you love yourself", educating students in the spirit of sharing and compassion.

"When we learned that many schools were damaged by floods, what worried teachers the most was that students lacked books and school supplies. Therefore, the support gifts were carefully selected to suit the needs of each school, helping students in remote areas to soon stabilize their studies," said Ms. Le.

Activities to support disadvantaged children were also initiated by a spontaneous volunteer group led by Mr. Tran Tuan Hung (resident of Ngu Hanh Son ward).

On November 6, after raising funds on Facebook, Mr. Tran Tuan Hung and his volunteer group donated and presented many gifts worth 36 million VND to 43 disadvantaged students at Pham Hong Thai Primary School (Ngu Hanh Son Ward).

Mr. Hung's volunteer group will continue their journey in Thuong Duc commune in the coming days.

The City Border Guard Command said that in addition to deploying a large number of forces and vehicles to help people prevent, combat and overcome the consequences of floods, the force also arranged hundreds of cars and boats to transport relief goods from agencies and organizations to people in flooded areas.

Specifically, in recent days, the city's Border Guard force has arranged vehicles to the headquarters of the Da Nang City Youth Union to promptly transport 1.7 million gifts to people in the communes of Dai Loc, Go Noi, Ha Nha, Nam Phuoc, Hoi An, Dien Ban and Tra Tan.

Accompanying the people in the flooded areas, Viettel mobilized more than 450 employees and many vehicles to fix infrastructure problems and maintain communication. The company applied satellite transmission systems and drones in landslide and hard-to-reach areas.

In addition, Viettel has implemented many policies to support people such as: postponing the blocking of postpaid subscribers, giving incentives to prepaid subscribers, doubling the card recharge traffic and arranging nearly 100 free phone charging points in power outage areas.

In particular, Viettel used 3 drones with a payload of 50kg to transport necessities, drinking water and medicine to help people in Dai Loc commune.
