Many businesses support people in their hometown affected by floods

DNO - On November 9, many businessmen and philanthropists who are natives of Quang Nam and living in Ho Chi Minh City returned to their hometown to give gifts to support people affected by the floods at the end of October.

In Thu Bon commune, Ms. Phan Dang Thi Dung, Director of Nguyet Dung Production and Trading Company Limited, a native of Thu Bon, presented 55 gifts to households that suffered heavy losses, of which 25 households received support of 1 million VND/household and 30 households received support of 500,000 VND/household.

On the same day, Ms. Dung gave gifts to 16 households whose houses were completely collapsed in the villages of Tra Tan commune: Ngoc Giac, Song Y, Tra Giac and Ngoc Tu, each household received 2 million VND.

On this occasion, Dr. Nguyen Le Thai Hoa, a native of Tam Ky, donated 100 mechanical water filters that can be used without electricity, helping people in highland and flooded areas to proactively have safe water sources for daily use.

This equipment was handed over to schools in the communes of Lanh Ngoc, Tra My, Tra Tan, Thu Bon, Nong Son and Que Phuoc with a total value of more than 50 million VND.

The charitable activities of businessmen, philanthropists and fellow countrymen not only contribute to helping people quickly overcome difficulties after natural disasters but also spread the spirit of "turning towards the homeland", connecting the Quang Nam - Da Nang fellow countrymen across the country.
