Effective models
The Women's Union of Dong Ninh Hoa Ward has 3,357 members, operating in 25 branches. The Union has implemented many models to proactively raise funds to support women and children, in which the model "Women's group acting for the community" is maintained regularly. Every month, the group cleans the environment twice at public places, beaches and in the premises of Van Phong Petroleum Bonded Warehouse. The activity is supported by Van Phong Petroleum Bonded Warehouse Joint Venture Company Limited with a budget of 6 million VND/month. The women participating in the cleaning do not receive support money but use that money to raise the "For the community" Fund to help families in difficult circumstances, orphans, and vulnerable women. From this fund and mobilizing more businesses and philanthropists, the women organize many meaningful activities such as: Giving means of livelihood; building "Warm homes of love"; giving "Helping children go to school" scholarships; Visit and give gifts to families with meritorious services and meritorious people; support women in difficult circumstances and with illnesses; carry out social security projects. Every Tet holiday, the group organizes a "Zero-VND Tet Market" and wraps Chung cakes and Tet cakes to give to families in difficult circumstances...

In addition to the above model, the Women's Union at all levels in the ward also implemented many models such as: Flower Road, Love Rice Jar, Savings Piggy Bank to help poor women develop the economy , Charity Kitchen, Security Camera, Exchange of plastic waste for necessities... In particular, the union also built 11 models of "Green House for collecting plastic waste" to raise funds for activities. For example, at the Women's Union of Ba Ha 1 Residential Group, the model has been deployed from 2022 to present. Ms. Tran Huyen Vu Van - Head of the Union said: "The model is located in the residential group hall, so it is convenient for members and people to join hands to implement. Each year, the union earns about 2 million VND from selling scrap; at the same time, it mobilizes more donors to give from 25 to 40 gifts to women and children in difficult circumstances in the area".
Support women in economic development
To help members develop their economy, the association at all levels has supported 1,834 families to borrow capital from the Social Policy Bank with a total outstanding loan of more than 72.9 billion VND. At the same time, the association at all levels has awarded 64 means of livelihood worth 218.7 million VND and partially supported the livelihood of 74 members; coordinated vocational training consultation and job referrals for 490 women... The association propagates and mobilizes members and women to participate in at least one form of savings, including maintaining 24 revolving capital contribution groups with 496 members participating with a total capital of more than 1.2 billion VND. Thanks to that, women have capital to develop the economy and improve their quality of life.
On the other hand, the association promotes the introduction and promotion of women's start-up products at markets and fairs. In particular, the seaweed product of member Tran Thi Vuong Uyen (Group 7, Binh Tay) is a typical example. Ms. Uyen's family has been producing seaweed since 2021, mainly selling locally. The Women's Union of the ward has created conditions for her to participate in training courses on supporting women start-ups, business seminars, improving knowledge, introducing products... Ms. Uyen said: "Thanks to the support of the association, I have the opportunity to introduce products to many places, learn about the market and reach more new customers. Since then, revenue has increased, I have expanded production, received product processing for other units and created jobs for 25 local workers."
Ms. Tran Thi Do Thi - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Chairman of the Women's Union of Dong Ninh Hoa ward said: "In the period of 2021 - 2025, the association has helped 74 households escape poverty and near-poverty; supported 15 women to start a business with an amount of 700 million VND; helped 111 families achieve the criteria of "5 no, 3 clean" sustainably; carried out 45 projects and tasks contributing to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas... In the coming time, the association will continue to accompany members and women to escape poverty, improve their lives and contribute to building the ward into an industrial urban area".
