(BGDT) - 133 students from educational institutions in Bac Giang province participated in the 26th Bac Giang Youth Informatics Contest in 2023.
The contest took place on April 15 at the Vietnam - Korea College of Technology, Bac Giang, organized by the Provincial Youth Union in coordination with the Department of Education and Training, Department of Information and Communications, Department of Science and Technology, and Bac Giang Provincial Informatics Association.

Candidates compete in the following categories: Primary School, Secondary School, Specialized High School and Non-Specialized High School.
During 90 to 150 minutes, candidates of all levels take an online test to demonstrate programming knowledge, practical application skills and creative software design.
In the creative software design competition, students use existing tools to create SPST (software, hardware or integrated products) for learning, entertainment and other practical needs.

The Organizing Committee is expected to award 61 prizes, including 5 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 17 third prizes, and 32 consolation prizes; and also award prizes to the youngest students and ethnic minorities who won prizes.
Candidates with high results will be selected and trained by the Organizing Committee to participate in the regional round of the 29th National Youth Informatics Contest in Hanoi in June 2023.

The contest is a useful playground to encourage and promote the movement of research, application and innovation in information technology among the province's youth; contributing to improving digital capacity among youth and developing future human resources to meet the requirements of industrialization, modernization and international integration.

(BGDT) - In order to promote the movement of learning, researching, applying information technology (IT), digital transformation among the staff, civil servants and public employees (CBCCVC) of the province, from the end of September 2022, the Department of Information and Communications organized the Bac Giang Provincial CBCCVC Informatics Contest, 2022.
The 2022-2023 school year is the first year that English and Information Technology become compulsory subjects for all third graders instead of being elective subjects as in the current program. For other grades in primary school, these are still two elective subjects.
