16 key energy-using facilities in Ha Tinh

The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province has just issued Decision No. 2080/QD-UBND announcing the list of 16 key energy-using establishments in the province in 2024. This is the first time the provincial government has exercised this authority, while previously it belonged to the Prime Minister. This change demonstrates a strong spirit of decentralization and delegation of authority and places higher requirements on the responsibility of enterprises and the management role of localities in implementing the national target on economical and efficient use of energy.

Formosa Ha Tinh Steel Corporation has an equivalent energy consumption of 3,683,123 TOE.

According to the recently announced decision, 16 key energy-using facilities in the province in 2024 include: Formosa Ha Tinh Iron and Steel Corporation (3,683,123 TOE); Ha Tinh Petroleum Power Company, Vung Ang 1 Thermal Power Plant (464,460 TOE); Saigon - Ha Tinh Beer One Member Co., Ltd. (2,979 TOE); Vinh Plastic Packaging Joint Stock Company, Facility 2 (2,102 TOE); Vinatex Hong Linh Joint Stock Company (2,260 TOE); Ha Tinh Branch - Vincom Retail Northern Co., Ltd. (950 TOE);

Hoanh Son Group Joint Stock Company (1,134 TOE); Viet Hai Transport Service and Trading Company (3,092 TOE); Ha Tinh Tea Joint Stock Company (2,090 TOE); Thanh Thanh Dat MDF Wood Joint Stock Company (105,773 TOE); Trung Do Factory Branch (1,698 TOE); Ha Tinh General Hospital (627 TOE); TTH Ha Tinh General Hospital (582 TOE); Sao Vang Beer, Alcohol and Beverage Group Joint Stock Company (1,379 TOE); Phu Hung Ha Tinh Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (3,464 TOE); VG High-Tech Energy Solutions Company Limited (3,099 TOE).

Vinatex Hong Linh Joint Stock Company is also on the list of key energy users in Ha Tinh.

Being named on the list means that these 16 facilities must comply with the obligations stipulated in the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy and its guiding documents.

As the presiding agency, the Department of Industry and Trade has issued documents urging and guiding units to perform core tasks, including: Appointing energy managers with professional certificates issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade ; conducting periodic energy audits every 3 years and reporting the results to the Department of Industry and Trade; developing and reporting plans for economical and efficient energy use annually and for each 5-year cycle via the national website at https://dataenergy.vn; applying energy management models and energy-saving solutions in production activities as well as when building new and renovating facilities.
