It is forecasted that storm No. 9 will move in the West-Northwest direction, traveling about 15-20km per hour. In the next 24 hours, it will continue to move in the West-Northwest direction and is likely to strengthen. By 1:00 p.m. on September 22, it will be about 120km north of Luzon Island (Philippines) with the intensity increasing to super typhoon level, level 16-17, gusting above level 17.
This is an extremely strong storm with complex developments and the potential to directly impact most provinces and cities across the country. Fourth, be ready to receive people to take shelter from storms in schools when safety is ensured. Quickly repair damages; clean and sanitize schools/classrooms immediately after storms to ensure safety, cleanliness, and disease prevention.
