Building a clean, strong Party cell closely connected with the people has become the key to helping many hamlets in the province escape poverty, and people's lives become increasingly prosperous.

Helping to escape poverty

For over two years now, at every party cell meeting, party members of Tan Phat A hamlet, Tan Hiep commune have brought tens of thousands of dong to put in their "piggy banks". Although the amount is small, it contains great affection and is used to award scholarships to poor students of Tan Hiep B Primary and Secondary School, located in the hamlet. Tan Phat A hamlet chief Nguyen Phong Tam said: "Students with difficult circumstances, whether inside or outside the hamlet, are supported. On average, each year, the "piggy bank" collects more than 7 million dong, contributing to helping students cover expenses at the beginning of the new school year."

Along with taking care of education , Tan Phat A Hamlet Party Cell also focuses on leading the people to develop production. In 2013, the whole hamlet had 14 poor households; by the end of 2023, there will be no more poor households, and by 2024, near-poor households will be eliminated. People have stable housing, no more temporary or dilapidated houses.

For sustainable development, the Party cell orients the production of high-quality rice, applying technical advances and synchronous mechanization; at the same time, encouraging people to raise livestock and grow vegetables. For households facing difficulties due to lack of labor, the Women's Union of Tan Phat A hamlet established a rice planting team, while union members and youths supported fertilizing and spraying pesticides. Thanks to this, many poor households have gradually stabilized their lives. A typical example is Ms. Thi Men, who was previously a poor household due to chronic illness and could not work. Thanks to the help of the rice planting team and union members and youths, she was able to produce and gradually escape poverty.

Hamlet Kinh 2A, Thanh Dong Commune is a bright spot as it has eliminated poor households since 2023 and has no near-poor households since 2024. The entire hamlet has 509 households, of which only 5 are non-religious, the rest are Catholic. The people mainly farm, raise livestock, do small business, and live in solidarity and closeness.

Nguyen Cao Thang, Secretary of the Kinh 2A Hamlet Party Cell, shared: “People always monitor and remind the Party Cell and hamlet cadres. Therefore, each party member must be exemplary and maintain prestige so that people will trust and follow.”

The important factor that helps the Kinh 2A Hamlet Party Cell to promote its strength is to maintain a regular routine. The Party Cell Executive Committee meets on the 2nd of every month to prepare content. On the 3rd, the Party Cell organizes regular activities, including praising and criticizing Party members for their exemplary responsibilities, ethics, lifestyle and performance of tasks.

Every year, the Kinh 2A Hamlet Party Cell organizes thematic activities on economic development, building a team of cadres, and the roles and responsibilities of Party members. Thanks to that, the Party Cell always completes its tasks well, and Party members are close and attached to the People. Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Head of the Hamlet Nguyen Van Manh emphasized: "It is the exemplary behavior, saying what you do that has encouraged people to actively respond to emulation movements in the locality."

Under the close leadership of the Party cell, Tan Phat A and Kinh 2A hamlets today have a new look. Solid houses have been built to replace temporary houses, and rural roads have been concreted, clean, beautiful, and airy. Along the road, people take advantage of vacant land to grow vegetables, both creating a landscape and providing a safe source of food on the spot.

Ms. Trinh Thi Thanh, resident of Kinh 2A Hamlet, shared: “The Party cell members are all people in the hamlet, so the people see and monitor every word and action they say and do. Only those who are truly prestigious, say and do, will the people believe. Party members and hamlet cadres are exemplary, doing many useful things for the people, so the people trust and follow.”

Through specific and practical actions, the two hamlet Party cells have proven that when Party members are exemplary and the Party cells are united and attached to the people, all movements will be successful, life will be prosperous, and the homeland will become more and more beautiful.
