According to information from the Provincial Border Guard Command, as of 2:00 p.m. this afternoon (September 22), the entire province had 624 fishing boats with 3,270 workers operating at sea. These fishing boats are operating in the Truong Sa archipelago (79 fishing boats with 492 workers); from Quang Ngai province to Ho Chi Minh City (525 fishing boats with 2,650 workers); from Dong Thap to An Giang (20 fishing boats with 128 workers).

Currently, the province has 60 fishing boats participating in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands. Of these, 33 are operating offshore, 27 are anchored at the port, and 29 are qualified and ready to be mobilized to serve the mission when required.

Captains of fishing boats all know the location, developments and direction of the storm to proactively avoid it.

At Da Rang Border Control Station (Tuy Hoa Border Guard Station) - which manages a large number of offshore fishing vessels, the unit has deployed forces on duty, regularly contacted, called on and guided fishermen to safe shelters.

The Provincial Border Guard Command has directed coastal border stations to regularly update weather conditions and developments; use communication systems to notify fishing vessels at sea to proactively avoid entering dangerous areas and adjust production plans to ensure safety.

In addition, the units also closely coordinate with local authorities and coordinated forces to check and grasp the number of vehicles and workers operating at sea, and divide anchorage areas to have prevention plans.

At the same time, dispatch forces to coordinate with local forces in vulnerable areas at risk of flooding, ready to mobilize people and property in case of emergency.

Information and propaganda work continues to be maintained, promptly informing fishing vessels operating at sea about weather developments to proactively prevent and ensure safety of life and property.
