162 commune health workers participate in Family Medicine training program

On the afternoon of July 1, the Department of Health in collaboration with the University of Medicine (Hanoi) organized the opening ceremony of the course “Primary health care according to the principles of family medicine”. The course lasted for 6 months with 162 students who were medical staff in communes and wards participating.

During the course, students are trained in prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment and management of some common non-communicable diseases according to the principles of family medicine; focusing on professional practice capacity, capacity to apply principles of family medicine in practice, capacity to provide medical care according to the principles of family medicine; improving communication, consultation, management and care capacity for individuals, families and communities according to the principles of family medicine...

Through the training course, trainees will improve their professional capacity in primary health care, ensuring that they meet the requirements of disease prevention and implementation of the objectives of the Health - Population Program at the grassroots level. Thereby contributing to the effective implementation of public health care, ensuring that people have access to quality health services at the grassroots level.
