The aim of the new guidance is to improve the security of AI to ensure it is designed, developed and used safely, ACN stressed. This is the first international joint document on the safe development and use of AI, presented at the Bletchley Park summit in the UK, November 1-2.
Cybersecurity is a prerequisite for AI development, and countries need to ensure privacy and trust to develop a safe cyberspace.
AI is one of the top priorities during Italy's presidency of the Group of Seven (G7) in 2024. Bruno Frattasi, Director General of ACN, emphasized that only collective efforts can help solve AI challenges.
Italy is among 18 countries backing the guidelines, along with the UK, Australia, Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Poland, Singapore, South Korea and the US.
