In response to local realities, Mr. Pham Van Thieu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, has issued timely and insightful directives, which have been enthusiastically supported by the people.
Mr. Pham Van Thieu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, has just directed all departments, agencies, and localities to ensure that 100% of officials, civil servants, employees, and members of the armed forces (collectively referred to as officials) sign a commitment not to violate alcohol concentration limits.

According to the commitment, the units will regularly inspect, promptly detect, and strictly handle officers who violate alcohol concentration limits or who do not cooperate with law enforcement in handling violations.
Officials are committed to setting a good example in complying with traffic laws; not abusing their prestige or position to interfere with the handling of violations; and not forcing subordinates to drink alcohol.
The Chairman of Bac Lieu province assigned the task to the police force that during patrols, inspections, and handling of traffic violations, they must adhere to the spirit of the rule of law, with no forbidden areas, no exceptions, and no acceptance of interference or influence to overlook violations…
Previously, many lottery companies in the Mekong Delta organized study tours abroad, causing a public uproar.
According to Mr. Thieu, the local socio -economic situation has seen many positive developments recently, with budget revenue exceeding the planned targets, but the lives of a segment of the population remain difficult, requiring the joint efforts of both the government and businesses.
"I have banned the lottery company from organizing overseas trips. I request that the company facilitate domestic sightseeing trips for the aforementioned individuals," Mr. Thieu said.
The "urgent" directives and statements made by Mr. Pham Van Thieu recently have "caused a storm" on social media, receiving enthusiastic support and approval from the public.
