More notably, there are two runners-up who are Thai ethnic students studying at Nghe An Province Ethnic Boarding High School. They are Lang Thi Nguyet Nhi and Lo Thi Na Ni.

Study well to change your life

Speaking to PNVN Newspaper, female student Lo Thi Na Ni said that up to now, she and her family members are still surprised and happy with the exam results achieved. On the morning of July 16, Na Ni woke up early, stood by the computer waiting to check her high school graduation exam results.

Then, the female student burst into tears when she learned her exam results. Na Ni even had to stare at the computer screen for a long time before she dared to believe that she had actually achieved such a high score. Joy followed joy when her teachers informed her that she had passed the national exam for block C00.

"In Tuong Duong (former district of Nghe An province) where I live, economic conditions are not very good, so in order for me to pursue my education, my parents had to make many sacrifices. Since entering secondary school, I had to leave home to study at the boarding school. Therefore, I really appreciate the opportunity to study and try to study well with the dream of being able to change my life," Na Ni shared.

Female student Lo Thi Na Ni became the second runner-up of block C00.

Away from home, lacking the attention of her parents, Na Ni still sets learning goals for herself and strives to complete them. Before becoming the national runner-up of block C00, this female student has made her mark with many outstanding achievements. In particular, during her 3 years of high school, she was always an excellent and good student, and won the second prize in the provincial excellent student competition for Literature. Notably, after finishing grade 12, this female student of Thai ethnicity was also honored to be admitted to the Party.

Knowing that this year's exam will have many changes, Na Ni has built her own study path and method. Pursuing social subjects, Na Ni spends a lot of time reading documents and updating her life knowledge. Na Ni considers this valuable data to apply to the exam process.

The female student also emphasized the importance of mastering the basic knowledge, then practicing a lot, taking notes of mistakes and asking teachers when she does not understand. In particular, Na Ni always reminds herself to study with an optimistic mindset, stay calm when doing the test and read the questions carefully so as not to miss any requirements. With the achievements she has achieved, Na Ni will pursue her dream of studying International Communication at the Diplomatic Academy.

Pursuing the dream of becoming a History teacher

In addition to Na Ni, Nghe An Provincial Boarding High School for Ethnic Minorities also has another runner-up in block C00 this year, Lang Thi Nguyet Nhi. When she learned that she had become the national runner-up in block C00, Nguyet Nhi's emotions exploded. "At that time, I didn't dare to check my score myself. I gave my registration number to my friend to check, and then my friend reported my score. I still couldn't believe that I had such a high score. After that, I took my registration number to check again, and then I burst into tears. My mother was also at home, I called her to check the score, we sat together and hugged each other," student Nguyet Nhi emotionally recounted.

Nguyet Nhi is a Thai ethnic, from Que Phong district (old), Nghe An - a border area with many difficulties. Her parents are farmers, with difficult economic conditions. The family situation has become a great motivation for Nguyet Nhi to make constant efforts.

Nguyet Nhi's journey to school is also a story full of determination. From middle school, she went to boarding school, more than 25km from home and could only go home about 4-5 times a year. When she reached high school, she continued to apply to a boarding school more than 300km from home. "More than 300km to swim... only occasionally on holidays and vacations could she go home," Nguyet Nhi said.

The motivation for me to overcome difficulties, complete my studies and achieve excellent results like now comes from my family. "My family is also in difficult circumstances, so I want to study well to ease the burden on my family," Nguyet Nhi confided.

Lang Thi Nguyet Nhi pursues her dream of becoming a History teacher.

With a very high total score, Nguyet Nhi plans to enroll in the History Pedagogy major at Hanoi National University of Education. Explaining this decision, Nguyet Nhi shared: "Since middle school, I have been passionate about studying History and Literature. I have competed in both of these subjects. When I was in high school, I found that I had more ability in History and studied more deeply. I also won first prize in the provincial History competition, ranking third in the province."

With such impressive achievements, Nguyet Nhi is even more determined to do well in the exam to achieve her dream of becoming a History teacher. She also honestly shared that choosing the teaching profession was partly due to the tuition fee factor, which was suitable for her family's economic conditions. "When I first started high school, I thought I would not pursue History teaching. But after being taught at the boarding school, especially being inspired by my teacher and my passion for History, I decided to choose this subject," Nguyet Nhi said.

When asked about her experience in reviewing social subjects to achieve high results, Nguyet Nhi shared that she did not take extra classes outside but only studied with subject teachers at school. For Literature, she had a foundation from middle school and was enthusiastically instructed by her homeroom teacher, who was also a literature teacher. For History, she had the advantage of experience in reviewing for provincial-level excellent student exams. As for Geography, she only accelerated her studies when she was in 12th grade because she did not pay much attention at first.

This year's high school graduation exam has many changes, especially the social subjects. Nguyet Nhi admitted that she was a bit confused when reading the questions, especially the Literature test. "I was surprised because I had never practiced any questions like that," she said. In History, despite her experience, she still found the multiple choice part quite difficult, especially the first four questions, making her think she wouldn't get 10 points. However, Geography was much easier than the questions she had done before.
