Teams participating in the competition

The competition attracted the participation of 20 teams. The teams performed by making a Hue dish for 4 guests, presented in traditional or contemporary style; ensuring food hygiene and safety. The competition's judges were chefs from hotels/restaurants representing 5 provinces and cities: Thua Thien Hue, Da Nang , Quang Binh, Quang Tri and Quang Nam.

The organizing committee encourages teams to prepare traditional dishes, regional specialties of Hue cuisine , and lost dishes; invest in and be creative in decorating ideas and names of the dishes; and present the history of the dishes.

From the 20 teams, the organizing committee will choose one first prize winner, two second prize winners, three third prizes, one consolation prize and five consolation prizes.

After 5 seasons of organization, the quality of the competition has been increasingly improved. The Organizing Committee hopes that through the competition, it will enhance students' understanding of Hue cuisine; honor students with knowledge, skills and attitudes towards the culinary arts profession, thereby promoting the emulation movement. This is also a healthy and useful playground to create opportunities for students to interact, learn and exchange experiences with experts and professional chefs; explore and create delicious dishes with a strong Hue flavor, enhance dynamism and desire to contribute to the profession.
