200 delegates of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress visited the "technology unicorn"

(Dan Tri) - The visit took place right before the Congress (October 13-15), providing delegates with practical information about the digital transformation and innovation process.

On the morning of October 12, the delegation attending the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress (term 2025-2030) visited and worked at VNG Corporation (VNG).

The delegation was led by Mr. Duong Anh Duc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department - Head of Group 3.

Accompanying Mr. Duong Anh Duc were representatives of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee... and 200 representatives from 4 groups of the City Party Committee.

The visit took place right before the Congress (October 13-15), providing delegates with practical information on the digital transformation process, innovation and social responsibility in enterprises.

This activity also demonstrates the connection between the Party, the government and the business community - important entities to realize the vision of turning Ho Chi Minh City into a leading center of economics , finance, science - technology, innovation and international integration in Southeast Asia.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Duong Anh Duc - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - emphasized: "VNG is the first unicorn among the four unicorns of Vietnam and the city in the process of digital transformation and innovation". Mr. Duc commented and recommended that VNG should continue to create conditions for Vietnamese engineers and talents to develop their potential, capacity and strengths.

Currently, VNG is a typical technology enterprise selected by the City Party Committee in a series of outstanding models and projects on economy, culture, society, defense and security of the City.

Mr. Le Hong Minh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VNG, replied: "The era of growth launched by the General Secretary , the Party and the Government has opened up many new opportunities for private enterprises, especially technology enterprises like VNG, to develop even more strongly."

Business representatives said that Ho Chi Minh City has a dynamic environment, gathering many resources such as universities, an ecosystem of startups and a position as one of the largest economic bridges in the region. New initiatives and projects such as the International Financial Center are opportunities for businesses to research new directions, such as investing in global Fintech companies, expanding comprehensive AI investment to contribute to the development of the City and the Digital Nation e-Vietnam.
