The Department of Quality Management, Ministry of Education and Training ( MOET ) has just announced a list of 17 universities in Vietnam that have been accredited by prestigious international organizations. Among them, British University Vietnam (BUV) is the only private university with foreign investment to be recognized.
Recognition from the Ministry of Education and Training helps ensure the school's international accreditation value is legally valid in Vietnam, creating favorable conditions for students to study, research and develop their careers both domestically and internationally.

Pursuant to Article 51 of the Regulations on quality assessment of higher education institutions, the results of educational quality assessment can be used as a basis to determine the quality of higher education, position and reputation of the educational institution.
This is one of the criteria for competent authorities to consider investment support, assign tasks, implement stratification, ranking, grant autonomy and rearrange the network of educational institutions. Units that meet the standards will be given priority by competent authorities to invest in development and exercise higher autonomy.
BUV is the only university in Vietnam to receive a comprehensive accreditation certificate from QAA. This is a UK education quality accreditation unit with an assessment scale based on 10 strict criteria, widely applied at many top universities in the world such as Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)...
The agency not only looks at the curriculum and teaching staff, but also at how universities manage internal quality, support students and continually improve. QAA requires institutions to demonstrate the link between education and professional practice, as well as the ability to create a holistic learning experience for learners.

In addition, BUV was also ranked 5 stars by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). With recognition from the Ministry of Education and Training, BUV has successfully built the Triple Quality Assurance model - ensuring quality at three levels: national, regional and international.
BUV aims to provide opportunities to study in a British-standard educational environment right in Vietnam, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to the country's development and affirming Vietnam's position in the international arena. Currently, BUV is the only international school in Vietnam that grants bachelor's degrees directly from 6 prestigious universities in the UK.

Located in Ecopark with an investment capital of 85 million USD to date, BUV is now capable of meeting the learning needs of 5,500 domestic and international students. The school focuses on connecting theory with practice, cooperating with more than 500 businesses to expand internship and employment opportunities. BUV also promotes the application of technology and innovation, especially AI in teaching and operation.
Recently, BUV received the Outstanding AI Application Education Unit award at the Vietnam Artificial Intelligence Festival 2025 directed by the Ministry of Science and Technology. The school also continuously made its international mark when being honored in the Top 3 globally for Admission Process at the Global Student Satisfaction Awards 2025, the MBA program ranked 43rd in Asia according to QS Ranking, and entered the Top 9 in the category of Artificial Intelligence Innovation in Education at the EDUtech Asia Awards 2025.
In the context of Vietnam promoting digital transformation and expanding cross-border educational cooperation, the presence of quality international universities such as BUV is considered a testament to its ability to attract foreign investment, showing that the domestic higher education system is increasingly approaching global standards.
British University Vietnam (BUV) is the first university in Vietnam to receive a 5-star rating from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), and the first university in Vietnam and ASEAN to receive global quality accreditation from QAA, the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education.
These are two of the most prestigious accreditation bodies in the world. BUV's curriculum is well-designed, always updated with the latest industry trends, focusing on the seamless integration of theory and practice, ensuring that 100% of students have jobs or continue their studies within three months of graduation.
