Hang Ma Street
Nearly a month before the Mid-Autumn Festival, Hang Ma Street (Hanoi) was brightly decorated to welcome tourists to visit, take photos and shop. The closer to the Mid-Autumn Festival, the more crowded it became, especially on weekend nights.
The most eye-catching area is house number 78 Hang Ma, which is decorated with models of a crescent moon, a white rabbit, and a giant carp.
Here, visitors can freely choose from a variety of traditional and modern masks, star lanterns, and lanterns of many colors and shapes, with prices ranging from 25,000 to 150,000 VND.

In order to preserve and promote the nation's intangible cultural values associated with the Mid-Autumn Festival, from October 1, the Thang Long - Hanoi Heritage Conservation Center organized the program "Happy Mid-Autumn Festival 2025" at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Site.
Here, visitors can visit two impressive exhibition spaces with the themes of "traditional Mid-Autumn Festival" and "Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ly Dynasty".
The traditional Mid-Autumn Festival display space includes toy booths such as: lion drums, frog drums, rattlesnake drums, lion heads, papier-mâché masks, tin toys (tin ships, drumming rabbits, push-pushing butterflies, whistles, etc.), paper doctors, moon-watching stick players, lanterns, monk lanterns, star lanterns, paper animals, etc.
Meanwhile, "The Royal Mid-Autumn Festival of the Ly Dynasty" introduces historical documents and a system of paintings recreating the activities that took place during the Royal Mid-Autumn Festival more than 1,000 years ago. The exhibition space is highlighted by artifacts recreating scenes of boat racing and water puppet performances by soldiers and people.
Visitors can come between 10am and 11am or 3:30pm and 4:30pm on October 4 and 5 to watch the lion dance. Also on these two days, activities to experience making Mid-Autumn Festival toys (spinning lanterns, butterfly lanterns, star lanterns, rabbit lanterns, painting papier-mâché masks, paper kites...) will take place between 8:30am and 11:30am and 2:30pm and 5:30pm.
