The Japan National Tourism Organization in Vietnam (JNTO) introduces three impressive destinations , helping Vietnamese tourists discover unique flower festivals and enjoy rich cuisine .
Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival, Aomori Prefecture
The Hirosaki Cherry Blossom Festival, held annually in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, is one of the most famous festivals in Japan, attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists. The festival takes place at Hirosaki Park, which features about 2,600 cherry blossom trees in full bloom. The park was also selected by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association as one of the “Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan.” The 2025 festival is scheduled to take place from April 18 to May 5.
Hirosaki Park features a stunning setting where the beauty of around 50 different types of cherry blossoms blends with traditional Japanese culture. At night, the cherry blossoms and Hirosaki Castle are lit up, creating a magical and enchanting scene.

This place is famous for its beautiful cherry blossom trees running along the moat of Hirosaki Castle, especially the romantic scene when the petals fall and cover the water surface. In addition, the "Cherry Blossom Heart" check-in point in the park is also becoming a trend on social networks. However, the location of this check-in point is not announced, so visitors should come and explore it for themselves.
Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park, Saitama Prefecture
Located in Chichibu City, Chichibu Hitsujiyama Park is a popular destination for viewing the brilliant colors of the moss phlox in spring. This is a perennial herb that spreads across the ground, displaying small flowers that resemble cherry blossoms.
Shibazakura flowers are captivating with their vibrant colors of pink, white and purple. More than 400,000 flowers are planted on an area of 17,600 square meters, creating a vivid natural picture. When the flowers are in full bloom (April - May), the whole area seems to be covered with colorful flower carpets that are so beautiful it is mesmerizing. At the same time, the Shibazakura Festival also takes place, creating a bustling atmosphere with stalls selling regional specialties.

Expo '70 Commemorative Park, Osaka Prefecture
Expo '70 Commemorative Park was built on the site of the 1970 Japan World Exposition (Osaka Expo). Covering an area of approximately 260 hectares, it not only has rich natural scenery but also many cultural facilities and areas for sports activities.
The Expo '70 Commemorative Park was also selected by the Japan Cherry Blossom Association as one of the "Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Spots in Japan" and is a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in the Kansai region. From mid-March to early April every year, about 5,500 cherry trees of 12 different varieties bloom simultaneously, creating a brilliant scene that attracts many visitors.
In particular, this year, the SAKURA EXPO 2025 event is scheduled to be held and the cherry blossom-filled route along Higashioji Street, stretching over 200m, will be lit up, providing an impressive flower viewing experience.

In addition, after 50 years, the World Expo 2025 (Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan) will be held again in Osaka, on the artificial island of Yumeshima from April 13 to October 13, with the theme "Designing the future society for our lives".
