Vietnam representative won the 2025 Southeast Asian Police Football Championship

On the evening of July 15, the Vietnam People's Police II team defeated the Cambodian Police team in the final match to convincingly win the 2025 Southeast Asian Police Football Championship.

At Hang Day Stadium, Vietnam People's Public Security II welcomed the Cambodian Police with a team consisting mostly of professional players from PVF-CAND Club playing in the National First Division.

Notable among them is Nguyen Huy Hung, the Vietnamese national team player who won the AFF Cup 2018. Nguyen Duc Phu is a member of the U23 Vietnam team that won the bronze medal at the 32nd SEA Games. Tran Ngoc Son and Tran Van Hoa were also part of the U23 Vietnam team. Coaches Hoang Dinh Tung and Mai Tien Thanh were national team players and competed in this tournament as players.

The superiority in squad quality was clearly demonstrated by the Vietnam People's Public Security II when they completely overwhelmed the Cambodian Police team on the field.

Coach Nguyen Anh Tuan's team easily scored 2 goals in the first half thanks to Nguyen Nhu Tuan and Tran Duc Nam.

In which, Duc Nam assisted Nhu Tuan to score the opening goal in the 5th minute and then personally scored a superb goal by shooting the ball over the goalkeeper's head from midfield in the 33rd minute.

In the second half, Duc Nam had another assist when he set up Vu Manh Duy to shoot diagonally, raising the score to 3-0 in the 68th minute. Then, in the 82nd minute, Duc Phu scored the winning goal, 4-0, for Vietnam People's Public Security II.

With a winning streak since the beginning of the tournament, Vietnam People's Public Security II convincingly won the 2025 Southeast Asian Police Football Championship. With 8 goals and many assists, Tran Duc Nam was the top scorer and best player of the tournament.

Immediately after the final match was the closing ceremony of the tournament. The ceremony was attended by Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh ; Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security; Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Hong Thai, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of National Defense; Mr. Le Hai Binh, alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

At the ceremony, the organizers presented awards to outstanding teams and individuals. The Vietnam People's Public Security Team II received a prize of 30,000 USD. The second-placed team, Cambodia, received a prize of 15,000 USD, while the two third-placed teams, Thailand and Timor Leste, were awarded 5,000 USD each.
