Deputy Minister of Public Security holds the role of Head of the Organizing Committee
The tournament is organized under Decision 280/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister, chaired by the Ministry of Public Security in coordination with the Department of Political Affairs, the Department of Vietnam Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and strategic partners in the sports, media and business sectors. Senior Lieutenant General Tran Quoc To, Deputy Minister of Public Security, serves as Head of the Organizing Committee, along with 28 members in charge of comprehensive coordination of the tournament.

Eight teams will compete, including: 5 teams from ASEAN (Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Timor Leste), 1 guest team from outside ASEAN (Ausaka) and 2 host teams (CAND Vietnam I and CAND Vietnam II). Group A: CAND Vietnam I, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia. Group B: CAND Vietnam II, Australia, Singapore, East Timor. The teams are divided into 2 groups and compete in a round robin. The top two teams in each group will play the semi-finals and finals to select the champion. In particular, the refereeing team includes both experienced international and Vietnamese referees, ensuring objectivity and the highest professional quality. Among them, FIFA referee Hoang Ngoc Ha - the current Golden Whistle of Vietnam, was invited to officiate at the tournament.

In addition to its sporting nature, the tournament also carries a message of people-to-people diplomacy and regional cooperation – an opportunity for ASEAN police forces to strengthen solidarity and mutual understanding, contributing to peace – stability – sustainable development in the region. At the same time, the event also promotes the image of Vietnam as a hospitable, friendly country, an attractive tourism – sports destination through a multi-platform media system.
This year's tournament has an attractive prize structure with a total value of more than 70,000 USD (equivalent to 1.83 billion VND). The champion team will receive 30,000 USD (about 784 million VND), while the runner-up team will receive 15,000 USD (about 392 million VND) and the two third-place teams will receive 10,000 USD (about 261 million VND). In addition, the tournament also honors the team with the spirit of fair play with a style award worth 5,000 USD (about 130 million VND). Individual titles such as Best Player, Best Goalkeeper, Top Scorer, Best Referee Team... will also receive separate awards, contributing to creating more motivation and appeal for each match.

All matches will be broadcast live on FPT Play, and are expected to be rebroadcast on VTV, ANTV and some local channels, contributing to spreading the spirit of true and noble sportsmanship to people in the country and international friends.
Regarding logistics, the delegations will stay at a 4-star hotel, fully equipped with a gym, swimming pool, physical recovery area, along with a team of professional interpreters and transportation, ensuring the best competition and living conditions throughout the tournament.
The 2025 ASEAN Police Football Tournament is not only a dramatic competition on the field but also a symphony of sports - culture - diplomacy demonstrating Vietnam's increasingly strong role in the regional cooperation network, affirming the position of the Public Security Forces in building a modern, integrated and brave image.
