While approaching the intersection of Tram Troi town (National Highway 32, Hoai Duc district, Hanoi ), 4 steel coils and 1 bundle of steel bars fell off a tractor trailer and onto the road.
Specifically, at around 9:00 p.m. on December 23, a tractor-trailer with license plate 98C-360.XX, pulling a trailer with license plate 98R-035.XX carrying many steel coils, was traveling on National Highway 32. When it reached Zone 7, Tram Troi Town (Hoai Duc District), the rope holding the steel coils suddenly broke, causing 4 steel coils and 1 bundle of steel bars to fall onto the road.
At the scene, a round steel coil rolled in front of the car, 3 other coils and a bundle of steel bars were lying on the road. It is known that each steel coil, diameter 6 or 8, weighs several tons.
Upon receiving the news, Traffic Police Team No. 9 (Traffic Police Department, Hanoi City Police) quickly arrived to direct traffic and resolve the accident.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties in the accident. However, this is a lesson for drivers and vehicle owners to check their vehicles before driving. Especially for vehicles carrying very large loads of iron and steel, if they collide with other vehicles, the consequences will be unpredictable," said a representative of Traffic Police Team No. 9.
Traffic Police Team No. 9 is investigating the cause of the accident.
