Day 1
Historical journey at ATK Dinh Hoa
Thai Nguyen has many historical destinations associated with the heroic years of the nation, including the Dinh Hoa Safety Zone (ATK) relic.
Dinh Hoa is a land of mountainous terrain interspersed with fields, streams, and Tay ethnic villages. This is where President Ho Chi Minh and the leaders of the Central Party and Government chose to establish ATK in 1947, and where the Party's landmark decisions were born before the August Revolution.
Tourists will visit Tin Keo relic, ATK Dinh Hoa exhibition house, Khau Ty relic, Khuon Tat, Bao Bien, Chu market, Hang pagoda, Khuon Tat waterfall, De pass, Hong mountain, Diem Mac, Dinh stream, Dinh Bien, Bao Bien, Pu Don hill, Tin Keo, stilt house where President Ho Chi Minh lived and worked. After that, tourists will stop by the souvenir shop to buy gifts and local products such as freshly dug bamboo shoots, home-grown honey, banh lenh, and sticky rice.
Lunch in the relic site
ATK Dinh Hoa relic site has a restaurant serving lunch with many typical dishes of the Viet Bac mountains and forests such as bamboo-tube rice, five-color sticky rice, braised stream fish with fermented rice, hill chicken, local pigs, and wild bamboo shoots.
Visit the Museum of Cultures of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups
This is one of five national museums, displaying more than 40,000 original documents and artifacts about the traditional culture of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups. The museum has an outdoor and indoor display system, where visitors can learn more about costumes, production methods, daily life, and cultural experiences, with images of highland markets, images of northern ethnic people poking holes to drop seeds, and gong festivals of the Ede and Ba Na people in the Central Highlands.
During this journey, visitors also stop at the national monument where 60 cadres and youth volunteers of Company 915 and Team 91 Bac Thai are commemorated.
Overnight in the city
Thai Nguyen City has a diverse and large system of motels and hotels. Visitors can book rooms through applications or directly. Visit Nui Coc Lake
Nui Coc Lake was created by damming the Cong River in the 1970s. It is now a famous tourist destination in Thai Nguyen, with charming scenery and fresh air, associated with the story of Cong and Coc.
Tourists will take a boat ride in the lake, admire the beauty of Co Island, Sim Hill, Nui Cai Hill, the legendary Cung, Am Phu Cave, and A Ty Hell. In the Nui Coc Lake complex, there is also an amusement park and water park.

Explore the tea making village
Thai Nguyen is famous for Tan Cuong tea. Tan Cuong commune is a community tourism destination, with accommodation, fresh air, and many activities related to traditional tea culture. The tea hills in Tan Cuong are also a check-in photo spot for young people.
Located on the route connecting Thai Nguyen City and Nui Coc Lake are tea growing and producing cooperatives. Coming here, visitors can pick tea by themselves, visit the processing process, enjoy tea and buy it as a gift. Tan Cuong tea is green-yellow, clear, when drinking, you can feel the astringent taste followed by a light sweetness. Thai Nguyen has a tea festival every November.
