If you are lucky enough to visit Korea during the fall months, there are plenty of outdoor activities taking place all over the country for you to enjoy. Here are some of the best outdoor sports activities to try in the fall.
1. Paragliding in Danyang

Danyang is a famous tourist destination in Korea for paragliding. Danyang's mild weather and ideal geographical conditions can bring visitors a wonderful paragliding experience. This experience is especially interesting in autumn, when the surrounding mountains gradually change color to brilliant yellow and red.
No previous paragliding experience is required as the experts will guide you step-by-step from start to finish. You can even choose to videotape your entire 11-minute flight as a memorable souvenir of your visit to Korea.
In particular, when you come to Danyang, remember to try some dishes made with garlic, because a specialty here is garlic. Dakgangjeong, fried chicken with black garlic is an extremely famous dish. And if you are not a fan of chicken, you can enjoy tteokgalbi (beef cooked with garlic) or garlic mandu.
2. Canoe Experience in Chuncheon Mulle
Located just an hour’s drive from Seoul, Chuncheon is a city in the beautiful natural resort area of Gangwon Province. Chuncheon is home to many mountain lakes and is a popular outdoor destination even among locals. While there are many fun activities, we recommend trying the wooden boat ride on Chuncheon Mulle Road.
Chuncheon is the first place in Korea to make wooden canoes. The owner here first saw wooden canoes when he was studying abroad in Canada and he felt it was a pity that wooden canoes were not very popular in Korea and in 2011 he started making wooden canoes himself. That was the birth of the Wooden Canoe Service at Chuncheon Mulle Road.
Chucheon Mulle soon gained a lot of attention from the people after appearing on popular Korean TV shows such as “Two Days, One Night” and Running Man. There are 3 different tours in total, along with a variety of rafting packages to suit the skill level and number of participants. This is a fun team building activity that allows group members to spend time together chatting in the beautiful natural scenery of Korea.
After a long day of boating, you can satisfy your hunger by visiting Chuncheon Myeongdong Dakgalbi Street to try Chuncheon’s specialty Dakgalbi. Dakgalbi, or spicy stir-fried chicken, is a delicious dish made with sweet potatoes, cabbage, green onions, rice cakes, and diced chicken marinated in a spicy sauce. You can also mix the rice with the sauce in the pan for a delicious dish. Since it is usually served in a large pan in the middle of the table, spicy stir-fried chicken is a great dish to eat with a group of friends.
TIP: There are often sunset boat tours on weekends. This will be a wonderful experience not to be missed for all visitors here.

The majestic natural scenery is unlike anywhere else in Korea, with seascapes, mountains stretching far and wide, and beautiful sunsets promising to bring visitors an impressive and relaxing experience.
The best way to explore Ulleung is to walk or cycle around the island to fully appreciate the natural beauty here, following the coast, you will see the waves crashing against the majestic mountains. Following Haengnam Road will take you to Dodong Lighthouse, where you can enjoy the clear ocean view, you can even see Dokdo Island on a clear day.
After exploring the island, don’t forget to sample some of the local delicacies. Fresh seafood is abundant on the island, and the island is especially famous for its grilled squid. For those who prefer meat over seafood, the island is also famous for its special bulgogi (grilled beef) dish, made from the meat of cows that live on the island and are fed a special diet of medicinal herbs that give the meat its unique flavor and aroma.
