(Dan Tri) - The Vietnam Journalism Museum is not only a space to preserve documents, artifacts, and working tools from the early period, but also a place to reflect the intersection of journalistic values ​​through each stage of development.

Vietnam Press Museum is a unit of the National Museum system, under the Vietnam Journalists Association .

Signed by the Prime Minister on July 28, 2017, on June 19, 2020, the Museum officially completed its permanent exhibition space and opened to visitors.

The museum covers an area of ​​over 1,500m2 , displaying 20,000 artifacts and documents, including over 700 unique and rare artifacts and documents reflecting important events in the history of Vietnam's revolutionary press over the past century.

This place deeply recreates the birth and development process of the press associated with the history of building and defending the nation, from the days when it was a sharp weapon fighting the enemy, until the time when the country was at peace , the people were independent, and the values ​​of the press were honored when speaking up for the common "voice" of the people.

The diamond-shaped podium displays 10 famous, typical, and first newspapers in the world, representing the continents and Vietnam (1865 - 1925); Some typical newspapers printed and published during the period (1925-1945) such as: Fighting Newspaper, People, News, Rice Branch, Liberation Flag, Proletarian Flag,...

Old newspapers, from the first hand-printed newspapers to modern electronic publications, are witnesses to the dramatic changes in the journalism industry. Every historical period, every major event in society is vividly recorded through articles, photos, and many other media.

Gia Dinh Newspaper was the first Vietnamese newspaper written in Quoc Ngu script, launched in 1865 in Saigon. Gia Dinh Newspaper contributed greatly to the dissemination and perfection of Quoc Ngu script in the development of Vietnamese literature and history.

Two young people, Nguyen Chi Trung and Nguyen Cong Ha, visited the Vietnam Press Museum for the first time and shared their feelings of surprise and excitement when they saw the large number of exhibits. Both felt the space full of knowledge, where vivid imprints of the country's press history are preserved.

The loudspeaker system used at the 17th parallel, with a capacity of 500W and a transmission range of up to 10km, is one of thousands of valuable relics on display at the Vietnam Press Museum.

Up to 95% of the exhibits at the Museum are original, only a small part are restored. A team of professional technicians are responsible for restoring and arranging the exhibits according to their original form, contributing to the authentic reproduction of the historical flow of Vietnamese journalism.
