On November 8, Thu Duc General Hospital (HCMC) said that it was treating a case of serious trauma after a traffic accident.
Specifically, in the early morning of November 7, the hospital's Emergency Department received a male patient named HNT (born 1995), brought in by the Traffic Police.
According to information from the police, the patient was driving from the Binh Phuoc overpass to the Linh Xuan overpass (old Thu Duc City). When reaching the Go Dua overpass (Pham Van Dong street), the young man suddenly hit a dog running across the road, then fell unconscious.
At that time, the police were patrolling the street and discovered the patient in critical condition, so they took him to the hospital for emergency treatment. Upon checking, the police recorded that the patient was carrying a phone, a bank card in the name of HNT and more than 500,000 VND in cash.

At the hospital, after examination and paraclinical tests, the patient was diagnosed with left frontal cerebral hemorrhage, left cerebral hemisphere subdural hematoma, and scattered subarachnoid hemorrhage in the forehead, left temple, and around the brainstem.
The patient was also monitored for posterior arch fracture of 3 left ribs, right transverse process fracture of L1 vertebral body, and deep coma.
Currently, the Intensive Care Unit - Anti-Poison Department (ICU) of Thu Duc General Hospital continues to monitor and actively treat the patient. In addition, the Social Work Department also issued a notice to find relatives to support the patient's care.
Previously, on November 2, while A. (12 years old, living in Dong Nai province) was waiting to cross the street, he was hit by a motorbike going in the same direction. The child was taken to the local hospital for emergency treatment with multiple injuries, then transferred to a higher level hospital.
At Children's Hospital 2, doctors urgently examined and recorded that the baby had grade 2 liver and spleen injuries and a ruptured duodenum.
The patient was urgently transferred to the operating room for surgery to remove and suture the wound in the duodenum. The damaged liver and spleen were not bleeding so they were treated conservatively.
Dr. Luu Nguyen An Thuan, Department of Hepatobiliary Pancreas and Liver Transplantation, a member of the surgical team, recommends that when a child has an accident, even if there is no recorded bleeding, parents should absolutely not be subjective but should take them to a medical facility for examination to avoid serious progression that can be life-threatening.
