In the immediate future, Ta Nang commune will advance 150 million VND from the 2025 commune budget to support more than 100 relocated households. The money will be given to the people in the afternoon of the same day.

Regarding the plan to safely handle the Cay An reservoir dam, on the afternoon of November 8, along with piling, filling soil, and covering with waterproofing tarpaulin, the authorities began deploying 48 jet drills, divided into 3 rows on the dam surface at the incident site. Here, iron and concrete will be pumped directly into the middle of the dam body to ensure the safety of the project. Along with that, the monitoring and tracking work will be closely monitored by the authorities, ready to respond when an incident occurs.

"Ta Nang commune has mobilized more than 100 households, with nearly 600 people in low-lying areas (downstream areas have more than 400 households), at risk of being affected when the dam safety incident occurs, to evacuate to safe places, and at the same time organize full support with essential necessities for people during the evacuation period. Ta Hine commune has been notified to be ready to coordinate when an incident occurs," said Mr. Nguyen Vu Linh Sang, Chairman of Ta Nang Commune People's Committee.

Previously, from the night of November 7, the authorities decided to break the concrete wall holding back water at the overflow area, and the pumping system was also reinforced to urgently drain water out of the lake, reducing pressure on the dam. By noon on November 8, the water level in Cay An Lake had dropped about 1 meter compared to November 7.
