On September 26th, the province experienced moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms; rainfall measured from 0:00 to 9:00 on September 26th ranged from 20-40mm in most areas, with some places receiving higher amounts such as Thuy Phuc commune (Thai Thuy district) with 48mm and Quynh Coi town (Quynh Phu district) with 42mm.

The agricultural sector recommends that early-season rice crops be harvested quickly and efficiently.
According to the Thai Binh Meteorological and Hydrological Center, due to the influence of the northern edge of the tropical convergence zone combined with the southwestern edge of the strengthening continental high-pressure system, moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast to continue in Thai Binh from now until the end of September 28th. Rainfall amounts in most areas will range from 100 to 200mm.
Heavy rain and strong winds have caused approximately 580 hectares of rice crops to be broken and flattened, scattered across various districts. The affected rice plants are in the ripening and milk-ripening stages. To ensure the value of the rice crop and the progress and targets of the winter crop, the agricultural sector requests that localities proactively drain water from the fields. For areas where the rice is still green and only slightly flattened, the plants are likely to recover. For areas where the rice is fully mature but flattened, it is necessary to prop up the plants and tie them up at an angle. Absolutely do not prop them upside down, as this will break the roots. For early-ripening rice crops, farmers should be encouraged to mobilize manpower and machinery to harvest quickly and efficiently, following the principle of "better to harvest while still green than wait until fully ripe," and to prepare all necessary conditions for the winter crop.
