As one of the destinations open throughout the Lunar New Year holiday, the Oriental Light Festival at Ocean City has become the hottest spring travel spot in Northern Vietnam during the Year of the Snake.

From the first day of the Lunar New Year, thousands of people flocked to the city east of Hanoi to admire the light displays, pray for good fortune, and have fun. Visitors were overwhelmed by the magnificent and splendid scene illuminated by 30 giant lantern masterpieces from Vietnam, China, Japan, Korea, and Thailand.

"I've never seen a lantern festival on such a grand scale and with such magnificence. It's not just a masterpiece of light; it's also a vivid story about the mysterious culture of the East," exclaimed Mr. Tran Van Phu (65 years old, Hanoi).

Besides checking in with giant lantern displays and creating viral hot trends, visitors can also enjoy shopping, culinary delights, and traditional Tet experiences at 580 diverse activities spanning 58 days (from January 18th to March 16th). The festival not only celebrates the traditional cultural heritage of Vietnam and many countries around the world , but also creates a new style of celebrating Tet: leisurely shopping, taking photos, and fully enjoying and experiencing Tet atmospheres ranging from traditional to modern, from Vietnamese to international.

"After decades of spending Tet holidays mostly at home and visiting temples, this is the first time my family has had such a meaningful Tet with so many new and exciting experiences. And we didn't have to spend money or time traveling far," shared Mrs. Tran Thu Minh (58 years old, Hanoi).

Meanwhile, at Vinhomes Royal Island (Vu Yen, Hai Phong), residents of the "billionaire island" and thousands of tourists celebrated the Lunar New Year in a royal style for the first time. Located right in Royal Square, more than 100 stalls of the Spring Market not only offered products from all three regions of Vietnam but also provided a unique experience of traditional Tet right in the heart of the port city.
