The 2023 Manulife Danang International Marathon will officially take place on August 6 with competition categories including 42km, 21km, 10km, 5km and a 1.5km Ronny Dash run for children aged 3-10.
After 9 seasons, the competition changed the 42km running route for the first time, redesigned to allow athletes to fully experience the beauty of Da Nang City, bringing athletes to experience the two most beautiful coastal running routes of Da Nang City, Vo Nguyen Giap and Nguyen Tat Thanh.
The competition welcomes 9,000 athletes from all over the world.
The running route of all distances was also measured by international experts last May and was certified by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and World Athletics. Along the running route, athletes can explore famous places in Da Nang City such as Dragon Bridge, Han River, Son Tra Peninsula, Ngu Hanh Son Mountain, etc.
The competition welcomed 9,000 athletes from all over the world, including nearly 1,500 international athletes from nearly 50 countries and territories, and nearly 800 children running with their parents on the 1.5km track.

The strong contenders for the Marathon title are Kenyan male athlete Victor Kipkemei Chepkwony with a current best time of 2:22:15 and national track and field team female athlete Leo Thi Tinh with a personal best of 3:08:28. The Kenyan male athlete is also expected to break the race record of 2:32:16.
The winners of the 42km and 21km distances will qualify for the Kuala Lumpur Marathon.
