95 years of the Party flag lighting the way: Special exhibition affirms the power of belief and revolutionary ideals

On August 28, within the framework of the National Achievements Exhibition celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2 and the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930 - 2025), the thematic exhibition "95 years of the Party Flag lighting the way" was introduced to the people in Hanoi.

Over the past 95 years, the Party flag has not only been a sign of identification of a pioneering political organization, but has also become a sacred symbol associated with the victory of the Vietnamese revolution.

The exhibition depicts the portrait, life and great career of President Ho Chi Minh, affirming his role in the Vietnamese revolutionary cause and the world revolutionary movement.

Since the Party's founding (1930) with the steadfast declaration "National independence is closely linked to socialism", the Party flag has accompanied the people through every stage: from the Nghe Tinh Soviet climax, to the August General Uprising, two long-term resistance wars against colonialism and imperialism, and today's renovation and integration.

The Party flag with the image of a golden hammer and sickle on a red background has become a source of spiritual strength, a flame that fuels the will to fight and sacrifice for the independence, freedom and happiness of the people.

The exhibition is divided into three main parts: The Party flag in the history of revolutionary struggle, the Party flag in nation building, and the Party flag in the period of sustainable integration and development.

The historical space displays artifacts and original images from the Party’s founding period, major campaigns, and important historical milestones. Among them, the flag that once flew during the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, or the image of the army marching to liberate the Capital in 1954, stands out.

In the space of resistance and unification, visitors can admire the images of generations of soldiers and people of the South heroically fighting under the Party's flag, contributing to the victory of Spring 1975.

The space for innovation and integration is the National Party Congresses recreated through a system of images, LED screens, and documents on the renovation policy (1986), industrialization, modernization, building a socialist rule-of-law state, and proactive international integration.

In addition to artifacts and images, the exhibition also applies virtual reality technology and 3D interactive screens, allowing visitors to “travel through time” and experience each historical moment vividly. The exhibition is not only for researchers, officials, and party members, but also for the general public, especially the younger generation.

Students, university students, and youth union members have the opportunity to experience and learn about history in a close, intuitive way. Through this, they will better understand the meaning of the Party flag, not only in books, but also as a part of the nation's flesh and blood. The exhibition also affirms that the Party flag is a flag of faith, illuminating the path of the nation, a symbol that gathers and leads the entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army to overcome all difficulties and challenges.

Taking place from August 28 to September 5, 2025 at the Vietnam Exhibition Center, the thematic exhibition "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way" is an important event in the series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.

With the desire to spread the national spirit and arouse the aspiration to build a strong country, the exhibition has built an experiential journey through each memorable period of the history of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

If in the past, the Party flag brought the Vietnamese people from slavery to an independent and free nation, today, in the context of international integration, that flag continues to illuminate the path of innovation, sustainable development, fairness, democracy and civilization.

Documents displayed on recent Party Congresses show that the Party's development guidelines have always been consistent: taking people as the center, developing the economy in tandem with social justice, ensuring national defense and security, and firmly pursuing the goals of national independence and socialism.

In particular, through the exhibition, every Vietnamese citizen is more confident that, under the Party's flag, we can completely realize our aspiration: by the middle of the 21st century, Vietnam will become a developed, high-income country, following a socialist orientation.

The thematic exhibition “95 years of the Party Flag lighting the way” is a meaningful political and cultural activity. It not only affirms the position and leadership role of the Communist Party of Vietnam over the past 95 years, but also fosters the belief and aspiration for the entire nation to rise up.

The Party flag, the red flag with hammer and sickle will continue to illuminate the path to the country's future, be the flame that fuels the aspiration for development, so that Vietnam can firmly step on the journey of integration, affirming its worthy position in the international community.
