Runner-up Tran Quyet Chien was eliminated from the World Billiards Championship.

The person who eliminated Tran Quyet Chien in the round of 16 this afternoon (September 28) was also Jeremy Bury (France), the person who eliminated Bao Phuong Vinh from the round of 16 yesterday (September 27).

In the second half, Tran Quyet Chien still could not improve the situation. The current world runner-up's best shot in the second half was a 6-point shot.

However, Jeremy Bury did more than that. The Frenchman gradually left Tran Quyet Chien behind, before Bury won the final match with a score of 50-35, after 26 rounds, qualifying for the quarter-finals.

Besides Tran Quyet Chien, another player from the host Vietnam was also eliminated, that is the phenomenon of this year's tournament, Nguyen Van Tai. Nguyen Van Tai lost to Juan Garcia (Colombia) 28-50 after only 20 turns.

In the highly anticipated match between two Vietnamese players Tran Duc Minh and Chiem Hong Thai, Chiem Hong Thai won narrowly 50-48 after 28 rounds, gaining the right to enter the quarter-finals.

Entering the quarterfinals with Chiem Hong Thai is Tran Thanh Luc, after Thanh Luc beat Zanetti (Italy) 50-31, after 20 rounds.
