Agribank offers 10,000 billion VND in bonds to more than 5,000 investors

Vietnam Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development ( Agribank ) has just announced a report on the results of issuing bonds to the public in 2024.

Accordingly, this bank successfully offered to the public 100,000 bonds with a face value of VND100,000/bond, equivalent to a total issuance value of VND10,000 billion to a total of 5,079 investors.

Of these, there are 5,023 individual investors and 56 institutional investors. On the individual investor side, 5,016 domestic investors registered to buy more than 10.7 million shares, and 7 foreign investors registered to buy 20,300 bonds.

On the institutional investor side, 46 domestic investors bought nearly 66.8 million Agribank bonds and 10 foreign investors bought 22.5 million bonds.

No later than 30 days from the end of the offering, investors will receive the Bond Ownership Certificate at the registered location and pay for the bond purchase.

Excluding expenses such as bond issuance consulting fees, registration service fees, expected bond custody fees, etc., the total net revenue from the offering is VND 9,996 billion.

Information from Agribank, bond code AGRIBANK243401 issued has a term of 10 years. The issuance interest rate is a floating interest rate, equal to the reference interest rate plus a margin of 2%/year.

If Agribank does not buy back on the date of exercise of the buyback right, the margin will increase to 3%/year applied for the last 5 years.

These are non-convertible bonds, without warrants, without collateral, satisfying the conditions to be included in Agribank's tier 2 capital according to current regulations of law.

The purpose of issuance is to increase equity capital and increase long-term capital sources, meeting lending requirements for economic development.

Agribank bonds can be deposited for trading, transferring, and pledging on customers' securities accounts. Bonds can also be used as collateral for bank loans at preferential interest rates.
