Agribank supports 5 billion VND to carry out temporary housing demolition work in Son La province

In the working program of the National Assembly Economic Committee Delegation on December 6, 2024 in Son La province, Agribank donated 5 billion VND to support the work of eliminating temporary houses in the province.

The delegation of the National Assembly's Economic Committee working in Son La province was led by Comrade Vu Hong Thanh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee, together with leaders of the National Assembly's Economic Committee and the Economic Department (National Assembly Office). Joining the delegation from Agribank was Comrade Tu Thi Kim Thanh - Member of the Board of Members.

On the side of Son La province, working with the delegation were comrades: Lo Minh Hung, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Vi Duc Tho, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; leaders of a number of departments and branches of the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Lo Minh Hung expressed his pleasure to welcome the delegation to visit and work in Son La province. At the same time, he informed about some outstanding achievements in Party building, socio-economics, national defense, security, key tasks of the province and the work of eliminating temporary houses in the area. In the past time, Son La province has mobilized 600 billion VND, of which 60% was socialized, eliminating over 8,000 temporary and dilapidated houses. Currently, the province still has over 2,600 households with housing difficulties that need to be eliminated, with a total cost of about 150 billion VND. In order to soon complete the work of eliminating temporary houses, Son La province really needs the support of all levels and sectors.

Pleased with the results that Son La province has achieved in the past time, Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic Committee Vu Hong Thanh emphasized: The National Assembly pays special attention to the work of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for households in difficult circumstances, promptly allocating funding sources for localities to implement the program. The National Assembly's Economic Committee has also coordinated with units and enterprises to socialize funding sources to support the implementation of temporary house elimination in localities, including Son La province. He hopes that the province will continue to effectively implement the work of allocating and arranging capital sources to eliminate temporary houses in the area, improving the lives of the people, realizing the goal of building Son La province to develop greenly, quickly and sustainably.

On October 5, 2024, in Hanoi, in the program launching "Warm home for my compatriots" chaired by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Agribank donated 100 billion VND to join hands with the political system to complete the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households from now until the end of 2025.
