IDF says operations in Rafah continue. Israeli military spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the Israeli military continues operations in Rafah, which remain limited in scope and focus.

According to Mr. Hagari, since the start of the campaign in Rafah, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has “destroyed dozens of terrorists, neutralized underground tunnels and a huge amount of weapons”.

Before the attack, the IDF called on civilians to temporarily move to humanitarian areas and escape the fire that Hamas was causing ,” the Rear Admiral stressed.

In recent days, the IDF has secured the delivery of 200,000 liters of fuel to the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing and is working to ensure the flow of humanitarian aid to Rafah, Hagari added.

Some related developments

Egypt refuses to cooperate with Israel. Recently, the Egyptian government announced that it would not cooperate with the occupying forces in the work of transferring humanitarian aid from Egypt to the Gaza Strip.

According to Egypt, along with declaring not to cooperate with the Israeli army in the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip as a measure to protest Israel's attack on Rafah, the Egyptian government also accused Israel of taking full responsibility for the increasingly deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, due to its policy of escalating hostilities.

US says Gaza ceasefire conditions . President Biden said a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war could happen “tomorrow” if the movement releases hostages.

There will be a ceasefire tomorrow if Hamas releases the hostages. Israel says it’s up to Hamas, if they want to do it, we can end the conflict tomorrow ,” Biden said at a fundraiser outside Seattle.

Mr Biden raised the issue after warning Israel that he would stop supplying artillery shells and other weapons if Israeli forces attacked the southern Gaza city of Rafah, and expressed regret over civilian deaths caused by US-made bombs.

Prime Minister Netanyahu criticized for Rafah attack . Relatives of hostages held in the Gaza Strip criticized Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, saying that his order for the Israeli army to storm Rafah only endangered the lives of the hostages.

Some argue that to save the hostages, Prime Minister Netanyahu needs to be removed from the Israeli government and the war must end.

In addition, thousands of Israelis took to the streets demanding that Prime Minister Netanyahu's government do more to ensure the hostages are released.

US provides Israel with information on Hamas leaders . Biden administration officials reportedly provided Israel with the exact locations of Hamas leaders.

It is understood that the top-secret intelligence information that the Biden administration is said to have provided to Israel includes the locations of Hamas' secret tunnels.

Israel urges residents to evacuate several areas of Rafah . Israel has urged Palestinians in several areas of the southern Gaza city of Rafah to evacuate and head to what it calls an expanded humanitarian zone in Al-Mawasi.

In addition, an army spokesman also called on residents and evacuees in the Jabalia area of northern Gaza and 11 other neighboring areas in the area to immediately go to the western part of Gaza City.

In Rafah, residents said the new Israeli military evacuation order covered areas in the city center and raised suspicions that Israel planned to expand its ground offensive there.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it was continuing operations against Hamas militants east of Rafah and on the Gazan side of the Rafah border crossing.

Israel has an obligation under international law to ensure the safety of civilians in Rafah , the European Union's (EU) High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said.

Israel has an obligation under international law to ensure the safety of civilians ,” Borrell said, calling on Israel to halt its ground operation in Rafah, which would exacerbate the humanitarian crisis.
