[Video] More than 100 universities announce tuition fees for the 2025–2026 academic year

As of mid-July 2025, 104 universities nationwide have announced tuition fees applicable to students enrolling in the 2025–2026 academic year. Tuition fees range from 9.8 million to 170 million VND/year, with the most common being from 15 to 40 million VND.

The Dentistry Department of Gia Dinh University has the highest tuition fee, up to 170 million VND/year, applied to first-year students. In contrast, the lowest tuition fee is at Tan Trao University ( Tuyen Quang ), at 9.8 million VND/year.

Compared to the past two years, university tuition fees continue to increase, largely due to the roadmap for adjusting tuition ceilings according to Decree No. 81/2021/ND-CP and Decree No. 97/2023/ND-CP of the Government . According to regulations, public schools that have not yet covered their regular expenses are allowed to collect tuition fees at a ceiling of VND 1.59 to 3.11 million/month in the 2025–2026 school year, an increase of about 11–12% compared to the previous school year.

For universities that have achieved financial autonomy, tuition fees can be 2 to 2.5 times higher than the ceiling. For training programs that have been quality-accredited, higher education institutions have the right to determine and announce appropriate fees.
