According to AS , Alonso is preparing for important meetings with three of the team's stars, including Luka Modric, Rodrygo and David Alaba.
With Modric, Alonso is said to have successfully convinced this midfielder to sign a contract extension. Modric will turn 40 in September but Real will still retain him for the next season thanks to his experience and leadership qualities.
In the case of Rodrygo, Alonso is already determining where the striker fits into the team's plans for next season. The former Leverkusen boss plans to deploy a two-striker system, with Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe as the main attacking duo, while Jude Bellingham will play as a left-sided midfielder.
This could see Rodrygo accept a reserve role if he decides to stay at Real Madrid. Rodrygo is having an unimpressive season with "Los Blancos" but has managed to leave his mark with 13 goals and 10 assists in all competitions.
