On July 30, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Gia Lai province said that the Provincial People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize the 2025 Festival of the Quintessence of the Great Forest - Convergence of the Blue Sea.
The festival is expected to take place over 5 days (from August 29 to September 2) at many locations in the coastal city of Quy Nhon.
The opening ceremony, light festival and Central Highlands coffee and gong culture festival will be held at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square.
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , this festival aims to promote the strengths and potential of the new Gia Lai province (after the merger of Gia Lai and Binh Dinh). Preserving and promoting the quintessential values of the land and local people.
In addition, the activity also attracts tourists to the coastal city of Quy Nhon, develops the night-time economy and stimulates tourism services.
The special products of the new Gia Lai province from the forest to the sea will be displayed and introduced to tourists: such as ocean tuna, specialty coffee, and Central Highlands gongs.
The festival also honors the sea profession and fishermen's lives, inspiring fishermen to go out to sea and contribute to the development of the marine economy.
