(NADS) - Photographer Lurdes Santander with his photo of a bear family resting under the Milky Way has won Photographer of the Year at the Siena Creative Photography Awards 2024.
The Siena Creative Photo Awards 2024 is one of three photo competitions within the framework of the Siena Photography Awards. The results of the Siena International Photo Awards and the Drone Photo Awards were also announced last week.
Lurdes Santander's photo "Dreaming above the Universe" is part of her series "Animals Under the Stars." The photo shows a mother bear and her three cubs resting under the Milky Way.
Lurdes Santander is a Spanish photographer who works in the radiology department at a local hospital. Her passion for photography began when she was given a camera for her ninth birthday, and has since developed an interest in photographing nature and wildlife.
In addition to Santander's overall winning photo, the Siena Creative Photography Awards 2024 also honored winners in several categories: Animals and Pets, Architecture, Fine Art, Nature and Landscapes, Open Theme, People and Photo Series.
The winning entries from the Siena Creative Photography Awards, the Siena International Photography Awards and the Drone Photography Awards are on display in Siena, Italy. The exhibition will run until November 24.
