Speaking at the opening ceremony, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung emphasized that this is the first time the Ministry of Information and Communications has organized an online contest on the Vietnam Image Promotion Platform - Vietnam.vn, with the aim of encouraging people across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends to apply digital technology to create photos and videos about the country and people of Vietnam.
Since the launch of the contest in June 2023, after 4 months, the contest has attracted the participation of more than 7,000 photo and video works. From there, the Organizing Committee has selected 28 works to award prizes and 70 photo works, 14 video works to display at the exhibition. On the Vietnam.vn platform, there have been more than 90 million views of these 7,000 works, of which over 40% are from abroad. There are works that have been viewed by more than half a million people. These are very large numbers, surprising even the organizers.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung commented: “Each work is a unique perspective, a unique moment, an interesting story, a beauty, a reflection that life, that Heaven and Earth bestow upon humans, if not recorded at that exact moment, at that exact place, it will be lost. And if not recorded, it will be a loss, at the same time affirming that the greatest strength is always the strength of the People. The greatest creativity is always the creativity of the People. The most powerful vitality is always the vitality of the People, with 7,000 photos and videos of Vietnamese people across the country, which are vivid proof of the strength, creativity and vitality of the People.
According to the Minister, digital technology and digital platforms have created conditions for every citizen, no matter where they are, with a smartphone and 4G/5G coverage, to be creative and contribute their voice to create a Vietnam of the people.

According to the Organizing Committee, after 4 months of launching from June to October 2023, the contest has attracted more than 7,000 photos and videos from domestic and international authors. From there, the Organizing Committee has selected nearly 28 typical and best works to award prizes and 70 photos and 14 videos to be displayed at the exhibition.
The 28 works are 28 interesting stories, beautiful memories, filled with happiness or maybe a practical perspective on a life with many difficulties and hardships but always full of smiles, joy and happiness.

Third prize in the photo category went to author Hieu Minh Vu with the work "Plants of red tangerines".
