6th meeting of the Provincial People's Committee: Discussing key solutions for socio-economic development in the last 3 months of 2025

Comrade Pham Hoang Son, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting. Attending the meeting were the Standing Committee of the People's Council, leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, the National Assembly Delegation, departments, branches and sectors of the province. The meeting was held online to 92 communes and wards in the province.

In the first 9 months of 2025, despite many difficulties, Thai Nguyen has achieved many positive results in socio -economic development: GRDP growth reached 7.01%, of which the third quarter growth reached 7.76%; industrial production value reached 751.64 trillion VND, up 6.1% over the same period and reaching 66.21% of the 2025 plan; export value of goods reached 23.7 billion USD, up 8.2% over the same period in 2024; total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue reached 77.6 trillion VND, up 16.67% over the same period; total social development investment capital reached over 57 trillion VND, up 15.2% over the same period. Disbursement of capital plan up to October 13, 2025 reached 6,780 billion VND, equal to 75.3% of the plan assigned by the Prime Minister, reaching 59.1% of the capital plan assigned by the province. Budget revenue up to October 13, 2025 reached 18,329 billion VND, equal to 79.1% of the estimate assigned by the Government, reaching 69% of the estimate assigned by the Provincial People's Council...

However, in the context of production and business, especially agricultural production, being heavily affected by the recent storm No. 11, the socio-economic situation still has a number of issues that need to be analyzed and evaluated to propose solutions to strive for even higher results. According to the report, since the beginning of the year, Thai Nguyen province has been greatly affected by 14 natural disasters. Storm No. 11 and its circulation alone have caused great impacts on housing, traffic works, agriculture, health care, education, etc. The total estimated damage is over 12,200 billion VND.

At the meeting, delegates discussed the contents and tasks in the coming time, focusing on overcoming the consequences of storms and floods; accelerating the implementation of national target programs; budget collection, project site clearance and public investment disbursement... To complete the annual growth target of 8.5%, the fourth quarter growth needs to reach about 12.2%. This is a very difficult task, requiring synchronous, drastic and practical solutions to quickly recover and develop the economy after natural disasters.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Xuan Truong acknowledged and praised the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and efforts to overcome difficulties of the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors, localities, and units in the whole province. To effectively carry out the tasks in the coming time, he emphasized a number of key contents: strengthening decentralization and delegation of power - effectively operating the two-level local government model, creating conditions for grassroots authorities to proactively carry out tasks. Meetings, supervision, and inspections are directed to be carried out regularly to ensure progress and smoothness in direction and operation.

Regarding the work of overcoming the storm and flood, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that we absolutely not be subjective, not to let casualties or insecurity happen to people, especially in areas that are still isolated or have landslides. Quickly restore production and business, stabilize people's lives, especially in heavily affected areas.

The Provincial Party Secretary requested units and localities to immediately implement the contents of the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and the Central's strategic resolutions. The Provincial People's Committee, departments, branches and localities continue to promote the achieved results, overcome difficulties, strive to successfully complete all goals and tasks in 2025, creating a solid foundation for the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee made a concluding speech, requesting the Heads of agencies, units, Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards to mobilize all resources to overcome the consequences of floods with the most urgent and drastic spirit, focusing on the fastest recovery, ensuring that people's lives return to normal as soon as possible; continue to review, fully and accurately count all damages, estimate the value of damages caused by storm No. 11 in the sector and field of management. Assign the Department of Finance to rebuild the 8.5% growth scenario and complete it before October 20, 2015. Agencies and units must focus on implementing the Cau River Flood Prevention and Control Project as soon as possible; procedures and records must be updated regularly, ensuring compliance with legal regulations.
