On the morning of August 16, joining the exciting atmosphere of the whole country, thousands of people in the land of thousands of flowers, Da Lat, Lam Dong province, participated in a walk on the romantic route around Xuan Huong Lake, contributing to the journey with the message "1 billion steps into the new era", part of the event "Moving forward with Vietnam".

The event "Moving Forward with Vietnam" was organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security nationwide, in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution , National Day September 2, the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day, the 20th anniversary of the National Day for National Security Protection and the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".

From early morning, people flocked to Lam Vien Square - Da Lat to register to participate in the event "Moving Forward with Vietnam".

Ms. Hong Tham, Xuan Huong Ward, Da Lat, shared: “I read the information and found the program very meaningful, so I bought a red shirt and yellow star to participate. Through that, I hope to spread beautiful images of Lam Dong land and people to domestic and international friends.”

Thousands of people flocked to the central area of Lam Dong province to have their footsteps recognized for their contributions to the journey carrying the message "1 billion steps towards a new era".

Mr. Nguyen Duc Huong, Lam Vien Ward, Da Lat said: "In the afternoons, my family always goes for a walk around Xuan Huong Lake. But today is different, we are immersed in a very lively, joyful and exciting atmosphere."

More than 6,000 people completed a 5.4km walk around Xuan Huong Lake in Da Lat and their footsteps carrying the message "1 billion steps towards a new era" were recorded in the event "Moving forward with Vietnam", a practical activity demonstrating patriotism, reducing carbon emissions and moving towards the country's Net Zero goal.

Participating in "contributing to the journey carrying the message "1 billion steps into the new era", Mr. Dieu Sriu, Quang Truc commune, said that he was very moved and proud to attend and watch the National Flag Raising Ceremony live for the first time from the historic Ba Dinh Square. As a citizen of an ethnic minority in the border area, Mr. Dieu Sriu vowed to join the ethnic people in his homeland in building a great national unity bloc, enthusiastically working in production, participating in social activities in the area... contributing to firmly protecting the border areas of the Fatherland, building increasingly prosperous villages, together with the people of the whole country firmly entering the era of national development .
