Recently, Vietnamese e-sports has continuously received good news when Vietnamese clubs participating in the Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 2025), the world's largest annual club-level e-sports tournament, have continuously achieved good results.

The Vietnam Recreational E -Sports Association (VIRESA) assessed this as a good sign, showing that Vietnamese e-sports athletes are ready to compete in major arenas, with enough stature to reach out to the world.

The high achievements of Vietnamese clubs in this tournament are a testament to the progress of domestic e-sports.

With the second place achievement in the Truth Arena and 02 out of 03 Vietnamese clubs participating in PUBG reaching the finals of a major tournament like EWC, Vietnam can completely dream of taking high rankings at upcoming major sporting events. Especially when many contents and subjects in the EWC competition list will simultaneously appear at SEA Games 33, Asian Youth Game 2025 and ASIAD 2026 as well as many athletes participating in this tournament are national champions, national team athletes, typically in the subjects of League of Legends, VALORANT, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (male and female teams), CrossFire,...

Therefore, large-scale tournaments like EWC are an opportunity for Vietnamese athletes to evaluate and strengthen their strength as well as collect information related to their competitors.

E-sports will become a cultural bridge between Vietnam and the world

EWC 2025 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia from July 8 to August 24, 2025, with 25 events and a total prize pool of up to 70 million USD. This year, Vietnam has 13 clubs competing in 07 sports, of which 04 are on the list of sports to compete at the 33rd SEA Games and ASIAD 2026.

Besides, becoming a partner of the EWC Organizing Committee also brings the expectation of marking Vietnam on the world e-sports competition map.
