According to the Australian Department of Health , six passengers under surveillance will remain in isolation until June 23rd to ensure they meet the maximum 42-day monitoring period for the Hanta virus. This decision was made after additional cases linked to passengers and crew of the MV Hondius were recorded, bringing the total number of cases related to the ship to 13. Currently, all those in isolation in Australia have tested negative and are asymptomatic. However, health officials maintain close monitoring measures as recommended by the World Health Organization to completely rule out the risk of late-onset illness.
