After 1.5 days of urgent and serious work with a spirit of solidarity, intelligence, democracy and high responsibility, on the afternoon of July 17, the 27th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency (VNA) for the 2025-2030 term was a great success, completing all the contents and programs set out.
The Congress was pleased to welcome Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh ; Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, members of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, representatives of the Central Party Committees, leaders of the Party Committee, leaders of the VNA through the periods and representatives of some Central Party Committees of the press sector.
The Congress elected the 27th Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 27 comrades, who are exemplary Party members of the Party Committee, with sufficient qualities, prestige, leadership capacity, and organizational capacity to well implement the work of the VNA Party Committee in the coming term; elected a delegation of 6 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates to represent the VNA Party Committee to attend the 1st Government Party Congress.
The Congress focused on discussing, contributing additional opinions, and evaluating the implementation of the Resolution of the 26th Congress of the Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency; determining the working directions and tasks of the Party Committee of the 27th term; and voting to pass the Resolution of the 27th Congress of Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency with high consensus.
The Congress also approved the Report synthesizing the contributions of the Party Committee of VNA to the draft documents submitted to the First Government Party Congress and the 14th National Party Congress.
The 27th Executive Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency held its first meeting to elect the Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Inspection Committee, and Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Party Committee of Vietnam News Agency for the 2025-2030 term.
With a spirit of democracy, solidarity and high consensus, the Conference elected 9 comrades to the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of VNA for the 2025-2030 term.
Ms. Vu Viet Trang, General Director of VNA, received absolute trust and consensus and was re-elected as Secretary of the Party Committee of VNA for the 27th term, 2025-2030.
Two comrades were elected as Deputy Party Secretaries: Mr. Nguyen Tuan Hung, Deputy General Director of VNA, Permanent Deputy Secretary of VNA's Party Committee and Ms. Do Thi Trang, Deputy Secretary of VNA's Party Committee.
In her closing speech, Ms. Vu Viet Trang, General Director and Secretary of the Party Committee of VNA, 27th tenure, 2025-2030, expressed her sincere thanks for the regular leadership of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, the coordination and support of the leaders of the Central Party Committees, the working committees of the Government Party Committee and former leaders of the Party Committee and leaders of VNA; she hopes to continue to receive more attention, direction, coordination, support and facilitation from you in the coming term.
On behalf of the Congress, Ms. Vu Viet Trang also expressed her appreciation for the active and profound contributions of Party members in the Party Committee to the draft documents of the Congress of Delegates of the Vietnam News Agency Party Committee, which contributed significantly to the success of the Congress; acknowledged the contributions and practical work of the members of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam News Agency Party Committee, the 26th tenure, the grassroots Party Committees, affiliated Party cells, socio -political organizations and all cadres, Party members, civil servants and employees of the Vietnam News Agency in the past term, who have contributed to building a clean and strong Party Committee.
Affirming that the 27th Congress of the Party Committee of VNA was a great success, Secretary of the Party Committee of VNA Vu Viet Trang stated: This is an event of great political significance, a source of encouragement for cadres, party members, civil servants and workers of the entire industry.
The success of the Congress is of great significance, clearly defining the direction and tasks in leading the implementation of political tasks and Party building work of the entire Party Committee in the coming term.
The Congress set the goal: In the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2045, to continue developing VNA into a national news agency with high prestige in the region and the world, a source of authentic, accurate, reliable and rich information for the media system and the public at home and abroad, achieving high efficiency in domestic and foreign propaganda, serving the leadership of the Party and the management of the State; having a modern technology platform, an increasingly professional team of reporters and editors; creating a stable source of income.
Immediately after the Congress, Secretary of the Party Committee of VNA Vu Viet Trang noted that Party committees and organizations at all levels in the entire Party Committee need to focus on disseminating and thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the 27th Party Congress; urgently develop programs and plans to implement the Resolution of the Congress; and at the same time continue to promote the emulation movement to welcome the 14th National Party Congress, the 80th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Congress of the Government Party Committee and the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day of VNA.
The success of the 27th VNA Party Congress is a strong driving force for the entire Party and the entire industry to make efforts, strengthen solidarity, promote democracy, maintain discipline, arouse creativity, promote development, build a clean and strong VNA Party, and strive to excellently complete its tasks in 2025 and the entire 2025-2030 term./.
