Bac Giang to convert crop and livestock structure on rice-growing land in 2025, about 445.3 hectares

The People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just issued Decision No. 1062/QD-UBND promulgating the Plan for converting the structure of crops and livestock on rice-growing land in 2025.

Converting crop and livestock structure on rice-growing land to optimize land use and increase economic efficiency.

Accordingly, the total area of rice land converted in 2025 is 445.3 hectares (including 69 hectares of specialized rice land and 376.3 hectares of single-crop rice land). The area of rice land converted is concentrated in the following localities: Tan Yen 63.9 hectares, Son Dong 31.1 hectares, Yen The 70 hectares, Lang Giang nearly 15 hectares, Hiep Hoa 71.2 hectares, Luc Nam more than 108.4 hectares, Yen Dung 71.2 hectares and Luc Ngan more than 14.4 hectares.

The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to guide, inspect and supervise the conversion of crop and livestock structure on rice-growing land to annual crops, perennial crops, rice cultivation combined with aquaculture in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Cultivation and current legal provisions.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment coordinates with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to inspect and supervise the implementation of the plan to convert the structure of crops and livestock on rice land according to regulations. Monitor and update the converted area into the land use plan of districts, towns and cities. Review and make detailed statistics on land types to suit the reality of the localities.

The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities shall issue plans to convert the structure of crops and livestock on rice-growing land under their management in 2025 according to the plan and current regulations. Direct the People's Committees of communes, wards and towns to implement the conversion of the structure of crops and livestock on rice-growing land in 2025, ensuring the principles as prescribed. Direct specialized agencies to strengthen guidance, inspection and supervision of the conversion of the structure of crops and livestock on rice-growing land in accordance with the approved plan.
