It is known that Bac Giang International Logistics Center has an area of 67 hectares. The project has a total investment of nearly 4,200 billion VND, including items such as: Multi-functional warehouse system, customs control warehouse, duty-free warehouse, e-commerce warehouse, automated warehouse... combined with a complete logistics solution system.
The operation of Bac Giang International Logistics Center has strategic significance, affirming the province's strong determination in developing modern logistics infrastructure, promoting trade, industry and international integration. The project's completion and operation has put Bac Giang on the "map" of large-scale logistics centers with modern infrastructure in the Northern region; awakening Bac Giang's potential for developing the service industry, considered the "blood vessel" of the economy ; opening up new growth drivers, enhancing competitiveness, and promoting socio-economic development.
Bac Giang has a strategic location in the Northeast of Hanoi Capital, is a bridge between key economic regions, located on vital traffic routes such as Hanoi - Lang Son highway, international railway, near major border gates, and main seaports.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai, Deputy Director of the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) said: “The establishment of the Bac Giang International Logistics Center is a very timely step to contribute to creating synchronization and promoting the development of logistics services in the province. We expect the Center and logistics enterprises operating at the Center to be pioneers in responding to green logistics trends such as: Using clean energy, reducing carbon emissions and applying resource-saving technology. This is not only a joint effort with the Government to move towards the goal of neutralizing emissions by 2050, demonstrating responsibility to the community and the environment, but also a competitive advantage in the logistics services market”.
Prioritize attracting investment and improving human resource quality
Resolution No. 147-NQ/TU dated July 15, 2021 of the Provincial Party Committee on industrial development for the 2021-2030 period with the view of promoting industrial development, taking industry as the main pillar and driving force to promote economic growth. To prepare for the new wave of investment, Bac Giang province has planned 29 industrial parks with an area of 7,000 hectares. Planned 63 industrial clusters with an area of 3,000 hectares. Currently, Bac Giang has 17 industrial parks. The province is urgently completing procedures to speed up investment in industrial parks and clusters, improve the investment and business environment to attract investment, thereby creating favorable conditions for the development of the logistics industry.
Bac Giang is focusing on developing key logistics services to meet the increasing demands of the market. Multimodal transport, warehousing, packaging, and distribution services are being upgraded in a modern direction, strongly applying digital technology to optimize operational processes. In order to continue improving logistics capacity, the province has planned and prepared to develop new large-scale logistics centers, aiming to become an important transit center in the Northern region.

These centers not only support domestic goods circulation but also connect with international markets, creating momentum to promote comprehensive economic development. According to the Bac Giang Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Bac Giang strives to develop 8 logistics centers with a total area of nearly 500 hectares, 3 inland ports (ICDs), and 33 inland waterway ports. The Provincial Party Standing Committee issued a Resolution on the development of a number of key service sectors for the period 2024-2030, in which logistics is identified as one of the key service sectors.
According to the leader of the Department of Industry and Trade, to continue developing logistics services, in terms of state management, it is necessary to implement the Planning to ensure synchronization between sectors; select breakthrough development of a number of services with potential, advantages, and highly competitive service sectors, making Bac Giang a gateway, a center for goods transit, transportation, warehousing, and trade in the region; develop both production services, social services, and public services. In which, priority is given to developing transport infrastructure, logistics infrastructure; supporting logistics enterprises in the province to develop and link with manufacturing enterprises; proactively promoting trade to expand export markets for goods.
Establish logistics centers in industrial parks and clusters associated with ICD ports to provide logistics service chains, especially for enterprises producing import and export goods. Attract investment in a number of areas to develop comprehensive services, logistics, and ICD dry ports in the period of 2021-2030. “The logistics service operation team is very important, so it is necessary to improve the quality of the team doing state management work on logistics, promptly resolve difficulties and problems of investors in the logistics field.
