Bac Giang: In 2024, more than 7.2 million scattered trees of all kinds will be planted.

Implementing the Program to plant 1 billion trees according to Directive No. 45/CT-TTg dated December 31, 2020 of the Prime Minister, in 2024, Bac Giang province planted more than 7.2 million scattered trees of all kinds, reaching 112.8% of the plan.

Thanks to promoting propaganda work, raising awareness of all classes of people about the role and significance of tree planting, afforestation, forest protection, and ecological environment protection, in 2024, the whole province planted more than 7.2 million scattered trees of all kinds, reaching 112.8% of the plan. Of which, forestry trees were more than 7.190 million trees, accounting for 99.59% of the total number of trees planted; urban trees were 29.45 thousand trees, accounting for 0.41% of the total number of trees planted; the main types of trees planted were green Lim, medicinal Vối, Acacia, Eucalyptus, Taiwan Banyan, Royal Poinciana, Lagerstroemia, Cassia, Black Star, etc. Localities that planted a number of scattered trees exceeding the planned target include: Hiep Hoa, Bac Giang City, Lang Giang, Yen Dung, Luc Ngan, Tan Yen, etc.

In 2024, the whole province produced 44.39 million seedlings of all kinds, meeting the demand for afforestation and scattered tree planting in the whole province and serving the needs of some provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains, Central and Central Highlands.

To continue implementing the goal of the Project to plant one billion trees, in 2025 the province will focus on solutions to mobilize resources from socialization, combine implementation from programs, sponsored projects, public investment projects according to the provisions of law; encourage organizations, unions, masses, households, individuals, and communities to voluntarily participate in planting, caring for, and protecting forests and trees.

Identify the established tree planting targets as the minimum targets for implementation, which can be reviewed and supplemented annually. Regularly organize inspections, direct, supervise, and assign responsibilities to localities, organizations, and unions in the process of planting, caring for, protecting, and managing forests and trees. Strengthen propaganda , raise awareness and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, and communities on forest development and tree planting. Disseminate legal education to raise awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, and the whole society in tree planting.

Raise people's awareness and responsibility for forest protection, mobilize people to actively denounce acts of violating forestry laws, deforestation, illegal logging and acts of destroying trees, especially trees in public places, streets and urban areas. Encourage organizations, households and individuals in the area to plant forests with new varieties of good quality, trees of clear origin and have a plan to produce seedlings to ensure sufficient supply of seedlings for forest planting and scattered tree planting in 2025./.
