On the morning of December 2, the Ministry of Finance coordinated with the People's Committee of Bac Giang province to organize a training conference on the general inventory of public assets at agencies, organizations, units and infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State.
Attending the conference were comrade Nguyen Tan Thinh - Director of the Department of Public Asset Management ( Ministry of Finance ); Phan The Tuan - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee (SC) for the provincial general inventory; members of the SC and the Steering Committee's support team for the general inventory at all levels; representatives of the leaders of the Office of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; departments, branches, localities, and state-owned enterprises under the management of the province.
On March 1, 2024, the Prime Minister issued Decision No. 213/QD-TTg approving the Project on general inventory of public assets at agencies, organizations, units, and infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State. Accordingly, the general inventory of public assets must be carried out synchronously and uniformly nationwide.
Specific objectives: By December 31, 2024, complete the preparation work for the general inventory of public assets at agencies; by March 31, 2025, complete the general inventory; by July 1, 2025, complete the synthesis of inventory results, develop a summary report on public assets at agencies, organizations, units, and infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State nationwide.
Speaking at the opening of the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan The Tuan said that the training conference on the general inventory of public assets is an extremely important and necessary content to guide the implementation of the inventory of public assets in the province, ensuring compliance with legal regulations. In particular, he emphasized the determination of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee in the inventory, assessment, arrangement and handling of public assets such as houses and land to use effectively, avoiding waste of public assets in general, and houses and land in the province in particular.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested delegates to attend the conference with a serious sense of responsibility, focus, and actively participate in discussions to well implement upcoming tasks, serving well the work of general inventory of public assets in the province.
Speaking at the conference, Director of the Department of Public Asset Management Nguyen Tan Thinh said that there is only about 1 month left before the final inventory data is 0:00 on January 1, 2025 before carrying out the task of conducting a general inventory of public assets in early 2025. Emphasizing the importance and significance of the general inventory of public assets, he said that the general inventory of assets is a general review and re-count of public assets managed and used by agencies and units and infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State to grasp the actual status of assets in terms of quantity, objects, value, usage status, etc. On that basis, evaluate the management and use, accounting of public assets, help perfect the legal system in the management and use of public assets, reform management methods, provide information and data sources to develop strategic plans in the coming time.
At the conference, delegates listened to representatives of the Department of Public Asset Management introduce an overview of the general inventory of public assets at agencies, organizations, and units under its management and infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State. Provide instructions on software, how to enter data, and exploit the software for the general inventory of public assets; provide instructions on software, how to enter data, and exploit the software for the general inventory of infrastructure assets invested and managed by the State. At the same time, answer questions and concerns related to the general inventory of public assets.
Through the conference, delegates who carry out the management and inventory of public assets will understand the procedures for inventory; how to use the software for general inventory of public assets of the Ministry of Finance, data entry, inventory record making, data synthesis, reporting, and report approval. Thereby, they will effectively carry out the inventory of public assets at their agencies, organizations, and units in the coming time./.
